Born of the Gods in stock at $87.50 is the second set in the Theros block. It is the 63rd Magic expansion and will be released on February 7th, 2014. Born of the Gods will be followed up by the third expansion in the block, Journey into Nyx. Born of the Gods will be a small set featuring 165 different cards. Born of the Gods will be available in booster packs, intro packs, event decks and fat packs. The following events are scheduled;
The booster box contains 36 packs of 15 cards each.
Pro Tour "Born of the Gods" will take place on Feb. 21-23, 2014 in Valencia, Spain. The formats for the Swiss portion of the event are: Modern Constructed and "Born of the Gods" / "Theros" / "Theros" Draft. Top eight will be Modern Constructed.
The initial "Born of the Gods" concept and game design was led by Ken Nagle. Also on the team were: Ethan Fleischer, Billy Moreno, Mark Rosewater, and Ryan Spain.
The final game design and development was led by Tom LaPille. Also on the team were: Chris Dupuis, Mark Gottlieb, David Humpherys, Billy Moreno, and contributions from Matt Tabak.
